St. Mary’s is a recognized leader in intensive rehabilitation and long-term healthcare services for children in the New York area. The oversized, up-close presentation of the '06 Annual Report precludes looking at these children as mere statistics. The report featured stories of four young people and how their lives were impacted by coming to St. Mary’s. Using stories about real children gave us an opportunity to profile the range of complications with which St. Mary's excels. The captions were used to illustrate the multi-disciplinary approach tailored to meet each child's particular needs. We received many accolades on this powerful message. We were able to re-purpose much of this material to develop St. Mary's annual capital campaign, which was also well received by the community.
